I want to do stand up comedy for a talent show thats going on in a few weeks. But I have no idea what to talk about and how to change subjects and stuff. Any tips?

I have a lot of good ideas for stand up material but i can’t seem to make them funny. Also, are there any good websites that would help me with this or books.

Ok So i already have an act but I timed myself and the whole thing was 4 minutes. So my question is how long do you think a talent show stand up comedy should be? is 4 minutes too long?

I want to do stand up comedy and i try to write jokes every day, and when i have enough jokes i’m going to put then on youtube.

I have read comedy books that teach you the basis on doing stand up comedy, and i am a pretty funny person who wants to become famous… but do you think i have what it takes?

I am 15 and want to get into the comedy buissness becasue I love to make people laugh, and I found out I can. How hard is it too come up with funny material people will laugh and relate too ?? Dane Cook has said that he would rather learn brain surgery than start stand-up again …
