How do you get into doing comedy stand ups?

Like for fun then maybe a paying hobby .

i really like pryor, mitch hedburg, jim gaffigan, dave chappell, bill connely, and my all time favorite is brian regan. the ones i dislike are kat williams and god awful dane cook. so please tell me who is and what is the best stand up comedy routing of all time according to you? youtube link me if you have time! thanks
